Having not ridden a bicycle for over 15 years, I've decided to get back in the saddle. In October 2022, I'll be riding my first century to raise money for the Intergenerational Connections Project.
The Intergenerational Connections Project brings together younger & older generations to show that we all have something to give, that we can all make a difference - that age is just a number.
The project helps to create meaningful connections between children in early years settings and primary schools and older people living in care homes promoting wellbeing and reducing feelings of loneliness and isolation.
The support currently offered to early years providers, primary schools and care homes is free of charge and I'd like to keep it this way to make it as accessible as possible. But, for that to happen, I need some help in the form of sponsorship, donations and fundraising.
If you're not able to donate, please can I ask that you share the fundraising page with friends, family and people you work with to help spread the word.
To help me train towards the goal of riding a 100 miles in October (date tbc), I've set myself a smaller goal of clocking up 100 miles within the month of May - I'm up to 97!
