5 Ways to Savour the Season
1. Make it all about connection
Who do you want to spend time with this year?
If you can't be with them in person, how can you connect with them?
2. Choose meaningful experiences & make time for them
Try not to do too much. Choose a few activities that are important to you & schedule time to do them. They might be things you enjoy doing alone, with loved ones or as part of the community.
3. Get outside
Try to get outside every day. Getting out into the natural light helps to maintain our mood. Breathe in the fresh winter air. Go for a short walk (even if it's only to the shop to get yourself a festive treat).
4. Bring the outside in
Bring in some pine cones & some holly, decorate with it. Treat yourself or a loved one to some festive flowers.
5. Take 5
Take at least 5 minutes a day for yourself. Time to sit down, to breathe, to light a candle (a festive scented one perhaps), to connect with your senses, to practice gratitude.
